The St. Patrick-St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 105 Buena Vista St. Raton, NM 87740 is accepting proposal for snow plowing services at 2 (two) of our locations on an as needed basis.

The St. Patrick-St. Joseph Catholic Parish reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals or to award multiple contracts as may be deemed in the best interest of the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish.

Scope of Work

Work will include, but is not limited to, plowing/removing snow from the parking lots of the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish located at 105 Buena Vista St. Before Saturday evening Mass, Sunday morning and evening Mass and as Defined as; the main parking area of the Parish Hall, the parking areas north and south of the Church building and all paved asphalt driveways of the Mt. Calvary Cemetery located on Tiger Drive, Raton NM., 87740.

Snow shall be placed in areas that will prevent melt water from draining back onto cleared surfaces.

The term of the contract shall be for one year with the option to extend for additional years, both parties agreeing. The contract may be terminated by either party upon thirty days written notice.

The Vendor

 The vendor must:

  1. Possess appropriate state and county business licenses.
  2. Provide all travel.
  3. Provide appropriate equipment in safe and good working condition.
  4. Meet the following insurance requirements:

The company shall, prior to the effective date of this contract, file with the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish certificates of public liability, automobile liability (including non-ownership and hired vehicles) and property damage insurance satisfactory to the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish and in compliance with the law, and in form and amount sufficient to protect the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish.

  1. References - Contractor must present proof of ability to perform required work.
  2. The successful vendor must furnish proof of insurance and business license before beginning work.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish reserves the right to make inquires to any current and/or former contracts/clients, whether or not the clients are identified by the vendor in the proposal.

EXCEPTIONS: All exceptions shall be stated, no matter how seemingly minor. Any exceptions not taken shall be assumed by the vendor to be included in the proposal, regardless of the cost to the vendor.

The vendor shall indemnify and hold harmless the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish, its officers, agents and all employees and volunteers, from any and all claims for bodily injury, and personal injury and/or property damage, including the cost of investigation, all expenses of litigation, including reasonable attorney fees, and the cost of appeals arising out of any claims or suits which result from error, omissions, or negligent acts of the vendor, its sub-vendors and their agents and employees.

The vendor’s relationship with the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish shall at all time be that of an independent vendor.

The contract documents shall not be construed to designate the vendor, or any of its officers, employees, as employees or agents of the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish.

The St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish, upon written notice to the vendor, may terminate the contract.

The vendor will be paid for the negotiated and agreed upon cost of the work performed as of the termination date.

If any work or service hereunder is in progress, but not completed as of the date of termination, then the contract may be extended upon written approval of the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish until the work or services are completed and accepted.

The St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish agrees to grant or deny its consent to the Vendor’s acceptance of the assignments or tasks described in the notice within ten days after the notice is given. The St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish shall be deemed to have granted its consent if no action is taken by the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish within said ten-day period.

The vendor shall not assign or transfer its interest in the contract or any of its respective rights hereunder without the prior written permission of the St. Patrick-St. Joseph Parish.
